Founded by Stéphane van den Bergh, VDB was the inventor and 1st manufacturer of boom poles in carbon fiber that revolutionized the market in 1984. VDB boom poles are famous and recognized worldwide for their unequaled lightweight, robustness, reduced bulk and low microphonics.
Through the design and manufacture of its products (poles, cables …) in the south-west of France, VDB is constantly seeking to improve the technical means available to its customers. Thus, the company has gradually transposed its search for product quality into the search for new technologies to share with its clients in order to respond to all the audio issues of professionals in the broadcast, studio, cinema & television industry.
Porque escoger una pértiga VDB Boompoles
Rígidas, ligeras y solidas, fabricadas con la más avanzada tecnología en fibras de carbono y de la experincia de 35 años de fabricación y venta a los operadores de sonido más exigentes.
Longitud fenomenal por su pequeño tamaño. El diseño único en 6 secciones ofrece un excelente tamaño reducido por un aumento de longitud y una excelente rigidez cuando se despliega. Facilitando su transporte y acopio.Los modelos M, S, BB, Pocket pueden llevarse en equipaje de mano.
Reducido ruido de manos. La reducción del ruido de las manos se consigue gracias a la superficie pulida del tubo exterior, que también proporciona un mejor agarre. Por el contrario, las otras 5 secciones extensibles vienen en un acabado negro oscuro no reflectante.
Silenciosa. Entre cada sección, se fabrica una junta interna incompresible que ofrece el mínimo espacio para lograr un deslizamiento suave que contribuye a la rigidez del sistema y evita que los tubos se muevan y choquen entre ellos.
Cableado interno opcional. El cable opcional interno, mono o estéreo, recto o enrollado, puede ser colocado y retirado en solo 5 minutos en todos los modelos sin intervención técnica y sin necesidad de ninguna herramienta.
Discretos anillos de marcación en los tubos de los modelos XL et L, permiten un retorno preciso a una longitud predeterminada.
Top screw Quick lock. La nueva versión del « quick lock » de VDB es en metal anodisado compatible a todos los modelos y permite en un 1/4 de torno cambiar de suspensión al final de la pértiga en menos de 30 segundos.
Talón de goma de diferentes colores, evita el ruido y proporciona confort cuando se pone la pértiga vertical en el suelo entre las tomas. Viene incluído en los modelos XL y L pero es compatibles a todos los modelos y se puede adquirir por separado .
Fácil reparación que asegura una larga vida útil inigualable. Todas las pertigas se pueden desmontar rápida y fácilmente y sin necesidad de herramientas y todas las secciones de cualquier modelo pueden ser reparadas o reemplazadas.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the company, VDB revealed its new QUARTER TURN range, the “QT” so Cuty!
This new model has an innovative collars system for locking and loosing the pole by a 1/4 hand turn. This improvement using an extreme precision in the manufacturing process, is the achievement of thirty years experience supplying the most demanding sound makers all around the world.
Life expectancy is enhanced by a revolutionary hard-wearing mechanism and dust repellent coating that makes this line adapted to any situation.
This new locking collar model is compatible with the classical range thanks to the diameters of the tubes which remain unchanged, which makes possible to upgrade your old classical VDB poles with the new system.
Additional new options are available, such as a metal quick lock removable top screw holding a female screw thread at the rear. The rubber heel has been improved, and last but not least, the carbon fiber has been revamped to get better resistance results and thus an improved resistance-lightness ratio.
Discreet, lighter and quicker as always are VDB trademark for upper quality !

Because in certain situations, the standard 6-sections QT range might not be the most suitable, such as in confined-space shooting (elevators, cars…), VDB developed a capsule range of HAND boom poles specifically designed to adapt to these particular sets, while keeping the most benefits of the VDB standard QT range !
This new range carries all the benefits of the standard 6-sections QT-range:
– Quarter Turn innovative collars system for locking and loosing the pole by a 1/4 hand turn
– Best most recent carbon fiber technology, to get better resistance results and thus an improved resistance-lightness ratio
– Revolutionnary hard-wearing mechanism and dust repellent coating increasing life expectancy

VDB BOOMPOLES’ design is done so internal cabling option is available for all the boom poles.
The thinnest tube (section 1) allows the passage of an XLR, enabling straight or coiled internal microphone cable to be set and removed instantly in all the models without technical intervention (dismantling/assembly < 5min).
Any VDB-QT BOOMPOLE can be buy with or without internal cable, which can be bought separately later on.
All the cables for VDB-QT BOOM POLES are available in MONO (XLR3) and STEREO (XLR5) versions.
